Koh Tao
If you prefer a more quiet setting Koh Tao is the place to go. This is the smallest island (compared to Samui and Phangan) and has beautiful beaches and offers excellent diving and snorkling locations. It is often referred to as the "turtle island" because of its shape somewhat resembling a turtle.

Koh Phi Phi
Koh Phi Phi, truly an island from paradise with a small strip of beach linking two separate islands. Because it is just a small strip of land it was completely destroyed by the tsunami in 2004. Most of the damage has been restored by now however and tourists are populating the island again.
Rooms on Phi Phi can be found here.

Pattaya

Pattaya is quite (in)famous for its prostitution and once you visit you will know why. Take a walk down "walking street" at night and visit one of the many many gogo bars for your entertainment. They often try to get you in with cheap drinks so a Heineken for 50 bath should be no problem here. If you're not into the gogo scene than try the Irish pub in the middle of walking street, live music every night and all your favourite beers.
Pattaya hotels can be found here.
