If you're looking for anything computer related there's no doubt you'll find it here. Pantip Plaza is a large mall with larger stores but mostly small shops selling computer parts and software.
Illegal software used to flourish here but since recent police action the number of them have decreased. It is still widely available though but it's not displayed as openly anymore. Vendors often have books with the software you want and the cd's are made if you order them. They go for around 100 to 150 bath, everything from games to complete windows versions.Windows Vista for a couple of bucks is no problem.
If you prefer to keep it legal there are enough shops offering you the legal software but at much lower prices than we are used to in the West. Therefore it is well worth to buy the real deal instead of the illegal stuff.
Hardware is widely available from complete systems and laptops to all the spare parts you can think of. Looking for a new videocard to spice up your system, check the smaller shops at the higher floors for some good deals. It's definitely worth shopping around before buying as prices can vary from place to place.
